RadNet, Inc., a national leader in outpatient diagnostic imaging, selects Medic Vision SafeCT solutions for low dose CT scanning and Smart Dose compliance

RadNet, Numerous scanners to be used with SafeCT® Enterprise and SafeCT®-29 to help ensure patient safety

RadNet, Inc. (NASDAQ: RDNT), a national leader in providing high-quality, cost-effective diagnostic imaging services and Medic Vision Imaging Solutions, Ltd., the leading innovator of vendor-independent solutions for low-dose CT exams, announced today that RadNet has selected Medic Vision’s SafeCT® product suite to enable compliance with low dose CT scanning and XR-29 regulations.

RadNet was seeking a solution to comply with Smart Dose regulations without the expense of buying new scanners. After researching the market and evaluating several options, RadNet determined that Medic Vision offers the best solution that delivers both quality and cost effectiveness.

“This upgrade to our existing scanners with SafeCT® Enterprise and SafeCT®-29 from Medic Vision allows us to optimize patient safety while complying with regulations and staying within budget constraints,” said Dr. Howard Berger, President and Chief Executive Officer of RadNet. “Medic Vision’s products enable us to comply with new dose regulations with our existing scanners and, in the process, alleviate the need for us to replace a portion of our CT fleet. These Medic Visions products are FDA-cleared, giving us reassurance that we are complying with mandated government regulations.”

SafeCT® Enterprise allows enterprise-wide low-dose scanning for organizations, such as RadNet, with a large number of CT scanners. SafeCT® Enterprise consists of a cluster of SafeCT® servers working together to deliver top-notch diagnostic quality to CT studies acquired with low-dose protocols on any number of existing scanners in multiple locations on a network.

SafeCT®-29 is a patent-pending, innovative, add-on system that helps achieve compliance with the XR-29 Standard for CT and PET/CT systems of all vendors and models. It is the only FDA-cleared third-party solution that offers XR-29 functionality.

“We are honored to be selected by RadNet and excited to partner with them to provide compliance with the recent regulations related to CT radiation reduction and management” said Eyal Aharon, CEO of Medic Vision. “The selection of Medic Vision by RadNet validates that Medic Vision has trusted solutions for medical imaging’s top concerns.”
