Medic Vision developed a proprietary patented image reconstruction algorithm, which dramatically enhances the SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) of low-dose CT images generated by conventional scanners. Medic Vision’s proprietary state-of-the-art SNR enhancement algorithm is a non-linear volumetric algorithm that preserves image edges and detail.
Medic Vision’s volumetric image enhancement algorithm requires tremendous computational effort and the runtime on a standard CPU may take days to complete. Medic Vision has developed a parallel-processing capability, based on which the algorithm is implemented it over multiple Graphical Processing Units (GPUs), with sophisticated GPU optimizations. With that, image enhancement is performed in real-time.
